So you want to write Romance....
Here are the organisations that helped me to get published.
www.rna-uk.org
The Romantic Novelist's Association in the UK. If you live in Britain and are serious about being a romance writer join the New Writer's Scheme, it costs about £50 (not including membership). They will give you constructive but honest feedback on your whole manuscript in the form of a reader's report and might even get it in front of an editor or agent if it's ready. Fantastic value.
www.rwanational.org
The Romance Writers of America. This is the first and foremost romance writers association. Included in the membership fee is their monthly magazine The Romance Writers Report - a must-read for romance authors both published and unpublished.
www.rwaonlinechapter.org
The online chapter of RWA of which I am a member. They do fantastic online workshops and their Critters corner is invalueable for feedback plus it gives you the chance to crit other writers. Not only that, but they're a really friendly bunch.
